Getting the Proper Hookah

Also known as shisha, hookah is a water pipe used in smoking that is most common in Middle East and Asia. Hookahs are used for smoking tobacco as well as various other forms such as fruity flavored hookah which are tobacco free materials. This interestingly triggers massive popularity of smoking in restaurants and cafes in major US cities.

Before considering the thought of going into a hookah bar, take a little step further to learn first the basics of how to hookah This is followed by a certain series of steps which will contribute to your knowledge of how to hookah. Always check for the following things before anything else: stem, base, tongs, tray, and a bowl that has grommets To prepare the hookah, fill the base with water of up to an inch to cover the stem while keeping the base moist. Mount the shaft inside tightly And then, put a bowl of grommet on the tray and placed them on top of the shaft.


In addition to that, you need the following things to properly set up you bowl: flavored tobacco, tongs, and metal bowl. The tobacco is firstly broken in order to get a smooth smoke and the flavored tobacco is sprinkled into the given bowl. Use a toothpick to poke the tin foil and create small holes.

This is done in case you are not using the metal bowl screen from a custom hookah. Take a piece of lighted charcoal and placed it on the bowl of metal screen or tin foil. Then, you can puff a few or so and hookah your way into the night.

One important point to be kept in mind is that the flavored tobacco should never be burnt. The smoke evaporating is a result of heating the mixed ingredients such has honey, glycerin, molasses and the tobacco. If you have not put the charcoal properly, you will not achieve the best smoke result.
